The Helpo Association is a Non-Governmental Development Organization operating since 2008 in Portugal, Mozambique, São Tomé and Príncipe and Guinea-Bissau, to promote development through Education, Nutrition and Maternal and Child Health, Humanitarian and Emergency Aid and Education for Development and Global Citizenship. It reaches 146,803 children and operates in 101 intervention centers, through the construction of schools, libraries, daycare centers, nutrition centers, canteens, rainwater harvesting systems, community training, health education and ongoing training; activities financed by various programs: Distance Child Sponsorship Program, free donations, projects financed by international agencies and companies.
